Even the smallest person can change the course of the future. –JRR TolkienGianna Cassetta is the co-founder, and former co-director of Future Leaders Institute, a charter school in Harlem, NYC. Gianna is a published author of a professional text entitled, Literacy Centers: a Standards Based Approach for Grades 3 and Beyond, and is featured in professional instructional videos on best practice literacy instruction including Step into Guided Reading.
She has a Master’s in Curriculum and Teaching from Fordham University, earned her administrative certificate at Teacher’s College, Columbia University, and is a National Board Certified teacher. She has worked as Director of Leadership Development for the Office of School Reform and Innovation at Denver Public Schools. Her passion for urban education has led her to co-found SOAR Schools, Denver’s newest CMO. Gianna is the C0-Executive Director of SOAR Schools.
