Jessica Long

School Director, DSST - Green Valley Ranch Middle School

Between 2004 and 2006, Jessica served as a Teach for America corps member on the Navajo Indian Reservation in New Mexico teaching math. After TFA, Jessica moved back to Colorado, where she grew up, to be close to her family. Jessica taught high school math at DSST: Stapleton for 3 years and served as the math department chair. She has taught algebra 1 and 2, geometry, and AP calculus. Last year, Jessica served as the Dean of Students at DSST: Stapleton and planned for the opening of the DSST: GVR campus. Jessica strives to model and provide leadership around DSST’s core instructional practices. She holds an M.A. from the University of Denver in school leadership, has trained teachers for Teach for America and was a Fulbright Scholar in India for summer study.
